The location we are planning to set up the library is in rural Cambodia, in a village called Tuol Prich located within the Mien Commune. This place is about an hour drive away from the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh.

We are going to Cambodia in December to provide medical and basic humanitarian aid to locals through an organization called Project Angkor. Residents in Tuol Prich have extremely limited access to basic resources, and it is the goal of Project Angkor to help them obtain more-than-sufficient resources and provide them with medical care. This website is a side project, attempting to give the residents of Cambodia more. Hopefully, giving locals long-term access to books will boost literacy and happiness in Tuol Prich. Our Plan

Hi everyone!

Thanks for visiting our website. We (A and T) have been developing a plan to create a little free lending library in rural Cambodia.

The library will be self-sustaining and located in rural Cambodia. The kids living there live in poverty, and it is our goal to expose them to literature whilst providing them with enjoyment to help them cope.

We will be traveling to Cambodia in December on a medical mission providing humanitarian aid to the locals who need it, and we wish to give them a little something extra as well.

Why Are We Doing This?

• We want to provide the impoverished kids of rural Cambodia with reading opportunities.
• We want to improve literacy and reading fluency of young academically deprived kids.
• We want to give the people of rural Cambodia enjoyment through fun stories and intriguing novels
• We want to create a sustainable project that will last for a longer time than we will be there.
• Reading is achieving. 😉
